Faster Flight Briefings and Automatic Airport Summaries

We've made several improvements to flight briefings and airport summaries in Notamify. This update brings faster generation, improved flight briefing accuracy, and a new Auto option that starts airport summaries for you as you move between airport pages.

Flight briefings now generate 47% faster

Flight briefing generation is now 47% faster, and we've improved briefing accuracy alongside it. That means a shorter wait between submitting your flight details and reviewing the resulting briefing.

Flight Briefings bring together the context you provide, including airports, planned times, runway selections, procedures, and aircraft details. When you are preparing a flight or generating another briefing after your plans change, getting that information back sooner makes the review easier to fit into your workflow.

Airport summaries in around few seconds

We've also significantly reduced the time it takes to generate an airport summary. Summaries now generate in around few seconds, making it quicker to get an overview of an airport's NOTAMs.

That shorter wait is especially useful when you are checking several airports in one session, such as your departure, destination, and alternates. You can open an airport, request its summary, and begin reviewing the overview within seconds.

Turn on Auto for airport summaries

If you regularly generate a summary whenever you open an airport page, you can now make that automatic.

To enable it:

1. Open an airport page and generate an airport briefing.
2. Turn on Auto in the Airport Briefing header.
3. Continue browsing airport pages. Summary generation will start automatically once the airport's NOTAMs have loaded.

Your Auto preference is remembered in the same browser, so it applies when you visit other airport pages and when you return later. You can switch it off from the same control at any time.

With Auto enabled, you can begin reviewing the airport's NOTAMs while its summary is being prepared. It's one less action to repeat as you work through the airports relevant to your flight.
