Interpretation

AVGAS fuel supply at various aerodromes is suspected to be contaminated with pump gas or another substance. Pilots are advised to be vigilant, and if fuel is suspect by look or smell, to drain it from the aircraft and inform the South African CAA. Use of pump gas in AVGAS engines is hazardous. If possible, pilots should provide a sample to the South African CAA to assist the investigation.
