Interpretation

For the Ames Municipal ILS or LOC Runway 1 approach, Amendment 4, the missed approach is to climb to 2,500 feet, then make a climbing right turn to 4,000 feet on heading 030 and the DSM R-001 to SHODR/DSM 49.87 DME and hold. Radar is required for procedure entry except for aircraft equipped with a suitable GPS-capable RNAV system because TNU VOR/DME is out of service.
