Interpretation

At LIPZ, the aerodrome operator will conduct vehicle runway safety inspections on a trial basis using ground-to-ground communication on the tower frequency to improve situational awareness. Inspection vehicles will use the radiotelephony call sign “SAFETY” followed by one or two digits. Refer to AIP AD 2 LIPZ 1-14.
