Interpretation
At OAKB, due to the tower light gun being unserviceable, aircraft experiencing radio communication failure must disregard the published VFR radio failure procedures and immediately use the IFR procedures in Afghanistan AIP section OAKB AD 2.22.13.B. On final approach, indicate radio failure by flashing landing lights at night or rocking wings by day, then execute a low approach over the runway at or above 500 ft AGL at the pilot’s discretion. Thereafter, follow SID K4 after LOBRE, conduct an instrument approach, and make a full-stop landing. After landing, vacate via taxiway A or G as appropriate and do not enter taxiway B or H without ATC radio clearance or follow-me vehicle guidance.
