Interpretation

Up to five pieces of heavy equipment penetrate the approach surface for Runway 16R at Narita, within two defined areas before the threshold, reaching maximum elevations of 230 ft AMSL and 169 ft AMSL. Weather minima, instrument approach procedures, SIDs and STARs remain unchanged. Exceptions apply to aircraft specified in AIC 051/19 item 3 and emergency aircraft with permission requested at least one hour in advance. Effective on 30 October and 2, 5–9, 13–16, 19–23 and 26–30 during 1510–2000.
