Interpretation
Runway 25 departures must fly runway heading and maintain a minimum 3.3% gradient from the departure end of runway to 2,000 ft; the procedure is valid only for straight-ahead departures within a 15-degree corridor. In reduced visibility, operators must verify the gradient using TOLD before takeoff and must not confuse the procedure design gradient with the aircraft performance gradient. If RVR falls below the minimum after taxi begins, the crew will be informed and the pilot makes the final decision. ATS takeoff authorization is based on traffic and known obstacles, while the pilot remains responsible for weather-minimum compliance. Takeoff with RVR below 550 m is permitted only for suitably rated aircraft and crews certified for CAT II/III.
