Interpretation

A trial procedure permits simultaneous pushback and engine start. Aircraft up to Code C may start engines at idle power during pushback. Simultaneous pushback and start-up may be permitted when aircraft stands are separated by at least one stand. Airlines must ensure clearance from aircraft, equipment, and personnel at adjoining or rear stands. Priority will be given to aircraft able to push back and start simultaneously.
