Interpretation

An unmanned 820 kg heavy balloon will be released within 70 m of 234811S 1335304E, approximately 1,845 m west of the aerodrome reference point. Its envelope is 84 m high, with a payload tethered 29 m below it, and it is fitted with a strobe light. The expected flight path runs southeast up to 2 NM from the release site, then northeast for 56 NM, then generally northwest for 40 NM. The operator will broadcast and monitor the CTAF, Alice Tower frequency 118.3, and relevant ATS frequencies in the control area. Contact the operator on 0419 995 703; a separate FIR NOTAM also refers.
