Streaming New NOTAMs: New NOTAMs in 2 minutes
9/11/2025
Notamify now processes NOTAMs via streaming with minimal delay. Our tests show that from NOTAM issue_at timestamp to alert delivery or availability in the Notamify UI, the typical latency is 2-3 minutes.
How It Works
We now ingest RAW NOTAMs through streaming services, bypassing batch processing delays. When a NOTAM arrives, interpretation is scheduled immediately if its ICAO code is registered in any of your Watcher listeners or you are checking the latest NOTAMs in Notamify or our APIs.
The key factor: ICAO coverage in your listeners determines immediacy. If the NOTAM's ICAO is in your listeners, interpretation and an allert shipment happen (almost) immediately. If not, the NOTAM waits for batch processing or other triggers.
Additionally, if you are using Notamify User Interface, presented NOTAMs are always the latest, without the previous 15 minutes caching period.
What This Means for Operations
- Faster situational awareness - critical NOTAMs reach you in seconds, not hours
- Predictable timing - register the ICAO codes you monitor to guarantee immediate processing
- Watcher integration - alerts ship on interpretation availability, matching your listener filters
