Interpretation

Flight crews requiring engine ice shedding must advise Delivery before start-up and provide the expected duration. Whenever possible, aircraft with aerodrome reference code letter C must perform engine ice shedding at an assigned taxiway location at no more than 70% thrust. If engine ice shedding is required on a runway, crews must inform ATC before reaching the holding point.
