Interpretation

For the Hartsfield/Jackson Atlanta International RNAV (GPS) Y Runway 08L approach, LNAV/VNAV decision altitude is 1,516 feet MSL/HAT 501 feet for all categories with RVR 5500; LNAV minimum descent altitude is 1,620 feet MSL/HAT 605 feet for all categories, with 1 3/8 statute miles visibility for categories C and D; and the VDP is 1.7 NM from RW08L. The note is changed to require, when ALSF-2 is inoperative, LNAV/VNAV visibility of 1 3/8 statute miles for all categories and LNAV visibility of 1 3/4 statute miles for categories C and D. These changes are due to temporary cranes southwest of Runway 08L, including one at 1,305 feet MSL and others up to 1,268 feet MSL. Effective March 28, 2026 at 0517 UTC through January 15, 2027 at 0517 UTC estimated.
