Interpretation

Groton-New London (GON) Takeoff Minimums and Obstacle Departure Procedures (AMDT 8A) updated. RWY 23: standard takeoff minimums with a minimum climb of 220 ft/NM to 460. RWY 33: 500-2 3/4 or standard with a minimum climb of 410 ft/NM to 650. These increased requirements are due to temporary barge cranes (RWY 23: 2.14 NM from DER, 345 ft MSL; RWY 33: 2.25 NM from DER, 944 ft left of centerline, 496 ft MSL) and do not apply when ATCT advises the crane is down. All other data remains as published. Effective 2026-01-13 2010 to 2026-08-25 2355 EST.
