Interpretation

For FMS RNAV arrivals to Madeira, the radio communication failure procedure is temporarily changed due to FUN DVOR/DME unserviceable: if cleared by Lisboa Control or Madeira Approach to proceed via a STAR, continue descent to 3000 ft via the STAR, complying with all restrictions, then conduct an RNAV (GNSS) or RNP-AR approach to the runway in use. Otherwise, continue descent to the last assigned and acknowledged flight level or FL100, whichever is higher, proceed direct to PILIM and hold as published; from the holding, descend to 3000 ft to conduct an RNAV (GNSS) or RNP-AR approach to the runway in use.
