Interpretation

Possible interference with radar altimeters not compliant with FAA AD 2023-10-02 (5G) may cause spurious alarms during approaches to Tahiti FAAA, particularly runway 22, daily from 0700 to 1600. The interference originates from the space-surveillance radar at the Papenoo transmission center. Crews should report flight-impacting interference to ATS; during an emergency declared by SSR code 7500 or 7700, radar transmissions may be suspended upon request through ATS. Consult SUP AIP PAC P 004/26.
