Interpretation

A trial procedure permits simultaneous pushback and engine start at aircraft stands under specified conditions: aircraft up to code C may start engines at idle power during pushback; simultaneous pushback and start-up is allowed only from stands separated by at least one stand; airlines must ensure clearances from adjacent and rear stands, equipment, and personnel; priority will be given to aircraft able to push back and start simultaneously.
