Interpretation
Implement the LID (Landing Information Deliver) operation trial. Shanghai Approach will issue the LID message by data link to arrival flights to ZSNT 50 minutes before ETA. The LID information will include the expected arrival procedure, approach method, landing runway, and parking stand. Pilots may use the LID information for FMS preparation during cruise without radio confirmation by ACC. On initial contact with Shanghai Approach, pilots should advise their LID information, including at least the expected arrival procedure, approach method, and landing runway. Shanghai Approach will confirm or modify the pilot LID report, and after establishing radio communication, all landing information should follow the controller’s instructions for any possible change. If the LID information is not received, pilots should follow the current procedure.
