Interpretation

At Eindhoven Airport, for ECRA operations, pilots of Mode S aircraft with ADS‑B must: select AUTO and assigned Mode A code, or if AUTO unavailable select ON (e.g., XPDR) and the assigned Mode A code, starting from the request for push-back or taxi (whichever is earlier) and keep it selected continuously until the aircraft is fully parked in its stand; once fully parked, select STBY. If capable, enter the aircraft identification (flight callsign) in ICAO format via FMS or transponder at the time of the request for push-back or taxi. To avoid impacting SSR-based systems, do not select TCAS before clearance to line up and deselect TCAS after vacating the runway.

-WHEN THE ACFT IS FULLY PARKED, FLT CREW SHALL SELECT STBY.
1.1.2.WHENEVER THE ACFT IS CAPABLE OF REPORTING ACFT IDENTIFICATION
(I.E.CALLSIGN USED IN FLT), THIS SHOULD BE ENTERED (THROUGH THE FMS
OR THE TRANSPONDER CONTROL PANEL) AT THE TIME OF THE REQUEST FOR
TOWED PUSH-BACK OR TAXI, WHICHEVER IS EARLIER. 1.1.3.AIR CREW MUST
USE THE ICAO DEFINED FORMAT TO ENTER THE ACFT IDENTIFICATION.
1.1.4.TO ENSURE THAT THE PERFORMANCE OF SYSTEMS BASED ON SSR FREQ
(INCLUDING AIRBORNE TCAS AND SSR RADARS) IS NOT COMPROMISED, TCAS
SHOULD NOT BE SELECTED BEFORE RECEIVING CLEARANCE TO LINE UP, AND
SHOULD BE DESELECTED AFTER VACATING THE RWY.
