Interpretation

On a trial basis to improve situational awareness, the aerodrome operator will conduct vehicle runway safety inspections using ground-to-ground communications on the tower frequency associated with each runway. The aerodrome operator’s RTF callsign will be “SAR” followed by two digits. Reference: AIP AD 2 LIRF 1-23.
