Interpretation

Pilots at LOWW are requested to report the need for ice shedding to ATC before requesting taxi. To avoid runway capacity reduction, ice shedding for twin and triple-engine aircraft should be conducted at an assigned taxiway location, preferably at 70 percent thrust. If ice shedding must occur on the runway, ATC must be notified prior to lineup if a rolling takeoff cannot be accomplished or if the takeoff roll will be delayed by more than 10 seconds after clearance.
