Getting Started Overview

How Notamify processes NOTAMs, what data it extracts, and how filtering works.

Start here to understand how Notamify works and how the product is organized.

How Notamify works

Notamify uses AI models to extract key data from every NOTAM:

Extracted dataWhat it means
CategoryOne of 42 predefined categories that classify the NOTAM by domain (aerodrome, airspace, navigation, operations, etc.)
Affected elementsThe specific infrastructure or service affected: runway, taxiway, navaid, fuel, aerodrome status, and more. See Atomic Elements for the full model.
Map dataGeographic coordinates extracted from the NOTAM, displayed on maps and the globe view.
ScheduleParsed effective times, including recurring windows and permanent changes.

This extraction happens automatically. You do not need to read raw NOTAM text to understand what changed.

Filtering by affected elements

Notamify does not assign a single "priority" or "impact" score to NOTAMs. Impact depends on the operation. A closed runway at a primary hub is critical. The same closure at an unused airport is irrelevant.

Instead, Notamify extracts affected elements and lets you filter by operational consequence:

  • Filter by closed runways if your operation depends on runway availability.
  • Filter by restricted or closed aerodrome status for major disruptions.
  • Filter by unserviceable services (fuel, fire rescue, lighting) for service-level changes.
  • Filter by category for broad domains like airspace or navigation.

You build filters once and the relevant NOTAMs surface automatically.
